Our Mission / Philosopy
The Physical Therapy Place is a locally owned private practice founded in 2000. Joy and Katie began the practice with a vision to provide the highest quality treatment for a wide variety of conditions within a caring, patient focused environment.
The aim of physical therapy is to promote healing, restore normal function and improve quality of life. It is our goal to empower each patient to be healthy and be able to perform at their optimum level. This is done through education, exercise, and hands-on treatment.
Joy and Katie each have more than 20 years experience as physical
therapists and have both successfully completed an orthopedic
residency. We use many different hands on treatment techniques,
including joint mobilizations and soft tissue techniques. You will
also be given a tailor made program of exercises designed
specifically for your condition. This will ensure that we not only
treat your problem, but prevent it from coming back. Every
opportunity will be given to you to ask questions about your
condition and advice regarding management. You will be seen one on
one by your physical therapist at each treatment session. Each
session lasts 45 minutes and is uniquely designed to meet your
needs.
What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is the examination, diagnosis and treatment of muscular-skeletal problems. Treatment may include exercise, manual therapy, and education to aid in the improvement of function, wellness, pain reduction, and prevention of injury. Physical therapy is appropriate for individuals with pain, disability, or problems affecting their sports participation or performance.
By law, physical therapy can only be administered by a licensed physical therapist. To find out more information, please link to the American Physical Therapy Association home page.
